Note: I left tape on the sculpture after installation to help the clients know where the wine nooks were hidden.
A client in Colorado requested a sculptural wine rack that did not look like a wine rack. He came to me with photos of his house and where he would like to install it, as well as images of other sculptures. I came up with this design and slowly pieced together stock of different lengths and thicknesses, working to create invisible nooks in which wine bottles can be stashed. Hiding the welds and mounting it upright while it was constructed proved to be great challenges, but I am very proud of how it turned out.
